The former WWE superstar and husband Jon Moxley are expecting their first child together, as confirmed by the latter on Wednesday night. Moxley broke the news during his promo in the last episode of AEW dynamite, which went on to become the most trending news following the show.

“We are so beyond excited to start this new chapter, and now finally having the world know feels like a weight has been lifted off my chest,” stated Paquette. “I am the worst at keeping fun secrets! However, I definitely couldn’t have predicted that the world would have found out on AEW Dynamite.”

American Journalist, Dave Meltzer revealed that Renee Paquette has been pregnant for some time now, and had intended to make the official announcement, however, to everyone’s shock, Moxley spilled the beans during his promo.

“I was thinking about all of these cute different ways that we could break the news to everyone and then bam, Jon just haphazardly spills the beans on Dynamite!” she reacts to his Wednesday-night reveal. “But we’re a kinda no-frills couple, so I guess it actually fit perfectly.”

Revelation Of The Former Superstar

Paquette revealed that Moxley was initially hesitant of breaking the news in public considering that the family’s personal matter was nobody’s business but soon realized that they had to acknowledge the news as they barely remain out of the public spotlight. Reportedly, Moxley was shown a few exemplars of how celebrities went public through Instagram notices but Moxley found them highly ostentatious.

“His first idea was that it’s nobody’s business, but then he realized that the reality of being in the public eye is that you have to at some point acknowledge it. He was shown Instagram notices on how celebrities have done it and found them gross and pretentious but never even considered the idea of announcing it in a wrestling promo.”

Though Moxley was never in favour of revealing the news through his promo, it finally dawned upon him at 2 a.m. before Dynamite as a promo about his father inspired him.

“Then, at 2 a.m. before the show, he came up with the inspiration to do a promo about his dad, which, by the way, was 100 percent real. On the morning of the show, when he woke up in Jacksonville, he decided he could tie it in, texted her at home and told her about it and that her phone would be exploding that night“.

Planning For The Baby

Paquette and Moxley “have a few names” in mind for their little bundle of joy on the way “that we’ve been batting around the last few weeks, but we haven’t hammered anything down yet.”

“We don’t even know if it’s a boy or a girl yet, but we have options for both scenarios! My maternal instinct is telling me it’s a girl. We’ll see if I’m right!” Paquette revealed. “Naming a person is crazy; it’s a lot of pressure to get it right. But I think we’ll probably lean towards something classic and timeless!”

The former Total Divas star tied the knot with the professional wrestler Jon Moxley in April 2017. Paquette shared an adorable moment of the couple riding horses together to celebrate their third anniversary this year.

“Been married to this absolute hunk of a man for 3 years. I’m lucky. He’s cute. 💕💕💕💕 (one time we rode mules around some mountains),” her caption read.

Besides her magical journey to motherhood, Paquette is all set to launch her new podcast Oral Sessions, which premieres Tuesday and will be starring Moxley as her very first guest.

Paquette is gearing up to release her cookbook this May, titled Messy In The Kitchen: My Guide to Eating Deliciously, Hosting Fabulously and Sipping Copiously, currently available for advance order now on amazon.com.
